Red Mountain Alpine Lodge

The heavy timber framing and Structurally Insulated panels (SIPs) form the main elements of this off-the-grid ski lodge located on Red Mountain, Colorado.

A project for the San Juan Mountain Guides based in Ouray, Colorado this lodge is designed to serve as a respite for guests taking back country ski, hiking and climbing trips and for special events. The cabin contains three gear storage rooms, four bedrooms, three baths and a mezzanine bunk area that can accommodate up to twelve additional guests. After a day spent in the mountains, guests return to this modern timber framed lodge to enjoy gourmet food and drink and relax in wilderness luxury.
